Maree – Director. Early Childhood Teacher
Maree has a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and has been running our Preschool for over 10 years. She has taught Children’s Services at TAFEs around the country and has extensive experience in the industry. Maree is passionate about quality education and care for children and keeps the Preschool running to an incredibly high standard.

Keely – Early Childhood Educator
Keely has a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and has been an educator at Tuntable Falls Preschool for 2.5 years. Before becoming a parent and studying ECEC she worked as a remedial massage therapist and craniosacral therapist for many years, and has also always had a strong interest in sewing, cooking and creating. Keely is also a nature lover and lives on a small community in the rainforest in Whian Whian. The curriculum at Tuntable Falls Preschool aligns beautifully with Keely’s interests and values- the bush kindy program, cooking on the outdoor fire pit, connection to land and community as well as sewing and art.
Aimee – Early Childhood Educator
Aimee completed her Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care in 2024, and started her Traineeship at the centre. Before Aimee entered the world of early childhood education she was a chef of twelve years and brings her knowledge of cooking to the children, helping to develop a love for cooking and exploring new flavours and experiences through our ‘’Garden to Plate’’ program.
Richard – Relief staff member. Early Childhood Educator
Richard has a Cert III in Early Childhood Education & a Diploma in Childhood Services. He has been with the Preschool for 10 years. He is responsible for many artistic projects such as our robo-dino-transformer (see the Machine Monster article) which allows the children to work with tools and explore their creative and practical skills.
Silvia – Early Childhood Educator
Silvia was born in Argentina where she studied at the National School of Drama & Puppeteers. After living in Italy for 5 years, she immigrated to Australia. Silvia is our Spanish language educator and runs creative projects with the children such as felting and soft toy making.
Jo – Admin & Bookkeeper
Jo doubles as both our Bookkeeper and our Admin Officer. You’ll find her in our office. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Multi-media and IT).
Simon – Circus Teacher
Wednesdays we have Circus with Simon!
Simon holds a Bachelor of Sport & Exercise Science, is a dancer and independent artist. He has toured the world professionally, worked as the head of dance at Lismore Conservatory, been the Artistic Director at Spaghetti Circus and now coaches Circus at Circus Arts in Byron Bay.
Miriam – Movement Teacher
Every Thursday our children have their “Movement with Mim” class.
Mirian holds a Doctorate in Dance Education from James Cook University, which emerged out of 25 years of teaching dance in schools and community settings in Far Nth Queensland. She continues to work as a community artist offering free, weekly dance classes for over 65’s (and any other person) and dance and play with children at Tuntable Falls community pre-school once a week as well as offering my creative services to environmental and peace activism in this community and in Meanjin.
